Buildings for change

A core part of our work is sharing the lessons from exemplar buildings so that others are able to replicate the same success in their own projects. We believe this sharing of information helps accelerate a shift towards a built environment that exists in balance with the needs of the natural environment, and current and future generations.

Since forming Evident in 2014, we've developed communication strategies and executed communication campaigns for multiple exemplar building projects. We're currently working on two initiatives to make it easier for projects to achieve success in these campaigns:

  1. Buildings for Change: Campaign Canvas. This canvas helps buildings projects establish the key elements of a communication campaign. We launched this in May 2017 with a test workshop in Auckland, will be refining the approach for our workshop on May 18 at the Living Future unConference in Seattle, and it will form the basis of follow-up workshops in New Zealand this winter.
  2. Platform for change. We're also working on an online place where exemplar projects can be profiled. This is currently in prototype stage, and we are sharing it with attendees at our workshops to get their feedback. We're planning on releasing a beta version later this year, then a public launch at end-2017.
