UPDATE. We're planning on hosting an event in Auckland leading up to the conference, where we will present a version of the workshop. Contact us here if you would like to find out more.
We're excited to announce we'll be running a workshop at the Living Future '17 conference in Seattle next May titled, "Accelerating our journey towards a Living Future by using Living Buildings as high-impact educational tools."
The workshop will be on May 18th and will show attendees how to leverage an LBC project as an educational tool using two very different case studies:
- The Zero Energy House, a family home with an online campaign that has attracted attention from tens of thousands of people all over the world.
- Camp Glenorchy, a tourist centre that aims to inspire, teach and empower the thousands of visitors it will host each year.
Whether you’re leading an LBC project, are part of the design and build team, or will manage the building once it is complete, this workshop will enable you to learn about the educational strategies these projects have implemented through design, construction and after completion.
The session will also include practical exercises to help attendees understand how to leverage their own projects as powerful educational tools that accelerate our journey together toward a Living Future.
We strongly believe sharing the stories and lessons of leading-edge buildings is key if we are to create a better built environment for all. After the workshop, we'll publish any materials used on the Evident website for people who are unable to attend the conference.
